, , No Comments

So I'm of to start my first recap for this new blog and I'm crossing my fingers to be able to stand until the end. HA!

Based on the teaser, we get a glimpsed of a possible meeting of estranged lovers, Caloy and Teri. I can no longer wait to start this recap, so here we go!

Episode 28 Recap (Wasted)

Ximena is asking why Teri didn't outbid for the gown but Teri explained that there are things that can be let go. And that, giving to charity is more important than the gown itself.

Teri glanced at Marga who was signing the papers for her winning bid. She jokingly told Ximena that if she spent a money for the down, it might lessen the money she's preferring to offer her to her contract.

She then notices the gown Ximena is wearing and was surprised to know that the gown can be bought without needing to bid, as long as it's for the right price. She looked backed to Marga again and realized she was not bidding to win for the gown but to out-bid her.

Marga was internally battling herself about the amount she's about to lose. She hands the lady the 1M peso check but hesitantly holds it back.

She was then greeted by Olivia and thanking her for helping the charity. Olivia informed her about being the highest bidder for the night which makes her a bit happy.

Teri goes to congratulate Marga for winning the bid. She told Marga how the bidding got her entertained. This ticks her and explained how she would do everything to get what she wants even if it requires for a bloodshed.

She arrogantly informed her that she can even bid until 1.5M just to get the gown. Her smiled fade after Olivia joined the two and thanked Teri for donating 2M for the charity. She realized that Teri had beat her.

Marga went out to ran after Ximena but she wasn't able to catch her. Instead, he saw Caloy's approaching car. He apologized for being late and she compliments him for looking good in tux.

She was not able to hide her annoyance about the bidding incident and told him about her nature of not wanting to lose to anyone.

He asked her who the person was and she freezes for a while before dropping the topic.

Jaime was complaining to Teri about their son not answering his phone. Teri comforts him and tell him to let their son enjoy the night.

She cheers him up and ended up complimenting each other until Jaime asked for them to leave together so he can have him for himself for looking so beautiful.

Viva's old boss gave them free drinks and food as an apology to mistreating her. She called him out to make peace but the guy looks to be forced because Rafa was around. She can't believe why some people holds grudges.

Caloy was surprised after knowing Marga spent 1M for a gown. To cheer her up, he asked for to go inside. Marga thought this would be a good idea thinking she can beat Teri by showing up with Caloy on her arms.

As they entered the room, Olivia pulled Marga to meet some benefactors to thank her for her generous donation. She was looking at Teri's back but have no choice and let Olivia dragged her.

AND THE AWAITED MEET UP DIDN'T HAPPENED!

Both Jaime and Teri are on the car as she sweetly talks to Rafa explaining about his Dad being just worried for his sake.

Vida teased Rafa after hearing him saying I Love You on the phone but he explained it was just her mom. And he smiles when she finds his I Love You's to her mom.

Caloy and Marga ended up to a cozy coffee shop.
Marga was sulking about the 1M peso money she lost at the charity auction until she got a glimpsed of a girl looking like Vida but wasn't.

She sat down to her dismay. Caloy took noticed of her reaction and ask her why she hasn't talk to him about Vida since they've been seeing each other for a while now. He explained about knowing her situation from Asya.

Vida was starting to enjoying the night and Rafa pointed out her quick change of mood. She pokes fun of Rafa's uptight personality. And emphasizing him looking old for his age.

He silently blamed his dad for it but Vida heard and told him of him being lucky to have parents like his. He asked about if she has parents and found out that they don't care about her but points the positive side of having away from her parents and her pursuing her dreams.

Marga explains to Caloy how she and her daughter have a lot of misunderstandings.
He asked how her how sure she is that what she wants is not the right thing for Vida. Teary eyed, she explained that all she's doing is not for her but for her daughter's future. That everything she has will eventually go to her daughter. All she wants is for her daughter to love the business that earn their living.

He asked about Vida's dad and his opinion on Marga and her daughters current situation but she sarcastically answered she has never seen or talked to him after he had another family.

She starts to cry about thinking that her situation is far from how she dreams of a perfect family. She wiped her tears and told him that despite it, her life doesn't end there and she can still do it even if she's alone.

Caloy looks at her tenderly and assures her that he's there and so is her daughter.

Vida continuous to drink and is very enthusiastic of reaching her dreams someday and quoting people she looks up to.

McCartney - "Believe in yourself and be prepared to work hard."
Oscar de la Renta - "Be the designer of your own destiny."

As she's busy drinking, she didn't notice Rafa looking at her curiously.

Later, Rafa decided for them to leave and with the drunk Vida, she stumbles but he was able to caught her. A smile creep his face while staring at her and she pointed how he looks handsome when he smile. He pulls back awkwardly after being caught red-handed.

He drove her to her apartment. She struggles to unfasten the seat belt and he hovers to help her but both froze after realizing how close they were. He was rather more affected than her - heh!

Vida ended up vomiting at their common bath and mistakenly opened the wrong door. She crawled her way in and struggles to get to bed and later passes out with her hands on Potpot's bed.

Potpot woke up after smelling the foul vomit from a woman's hands. He almost jump and grab his phone to light the intruder's face.

He moves close (too close I may say!) and recognized Vida's face and shouted, "YOU!"

COMMENTS:

I like the last scene a lot but the exaggeration of Potpot to be that close to Vida is a so so. I can understand that it has no malice to him as he's the pure boy next door type.

I did miss him for this episode. I only got to see him on the recall summary (which is on the first part for this episode) and now, I only got to see him on a 1min with no dialogue at the end of the episode!

Despite the fact I miss him for this episode, I did like that they give focus on the building a good relationship between Vida and Rafa. Usually, as a second male lead, they only get to always give him as a shoulder to cry on, second option plot. And I do feel like his curiosity is what leads him to end up liking Vida.

While the young leads give me the light vibe, I was more focus on the supposed possible reunion/meeting of Teri and Caloy. How can I complain when I already expect it won't happen? To make the plot more exciting and extend the thrill of the possible meet up of the two estrange lovers it would be too early in our pinoy drama land.

I expect Marga to have the same reaction after she knew she was beaten by Teri - well, the one where she will use Caloy as her last card but damn! Our drama land would really hold their meeting. Her insecurity towards Teri is still visible even to her.

This episode is also the beginning of the war between the two old bff's and I'm just even more excited as the days to follow.
